ROTARY CLUB International District 3780 Awards Night

The Rotary Club International District 3780 under District Governor Mar Reyes recently held its District Awards Night on May 26, 2019 at the Celebrity Sports Plaza in Quezon City. In his message DS Daniel Boone Ongchoco, Chairman, District Award Selection Committee, said: “This year is the most thoroughly active in terms of deliberations. Your District Awards Selection Committee painstakingly walked through nomination forms and in the absence of this, we make sure to look at the reports and at your rotary club central posters.  In other words, we embraced the term seek out and  we took it to a different level.  We even took our time  to fill out    presidential and government citation forms for you. For clubs who may not have the knowledge or interest to do so, but whom we felt were doing noteworthy projects. In doing so were able unearth   so many beautiful projects for clubs big and small.  We leave the matter with our  Governor Mar Reyes and   we decided to make sure to recognize clubs in one way or the other  x x x.  This time

around we actually broke the back just to ensure all your projects whether old or new, signature or not, joint or solo are all recognized.  It did not matter whether the impact for project is just for ten or a   hundred, or thousand  beneficiaries.  What is important is your project is making a difference in the lives of our less fortunate brothers and sisters. So, don’t be surprised to win a major award or two even without submitting any validation form”.

The venue, sounds and presentations were splendid! It was a grand awarding night indeed! The Grand Ballroom of  Celebrity Sports Plaza has turned into ala Oscar Red Carpet Awards Night with the beautiful and handsome officers and members of the Rotary District Club International’s District 3780 and its member clubs. A total of 90 Clubs were given awards, to the delight of everybody present during the awarding ceremony.    

The event was not only a gathering of sort for Rotary Club officers and members.  It is also a bonding moment among families of the Club.  Husbands and wives brought along their children.  Friends rekindle old ties. As the officers and members of the different clubs under District 3780 enjoys their dinner, they were entertained by surprise numbers with the performances presented by club members. It was a grand night full of entertainment, laughter and  unforgettable moment.
